Infosys Off-Campus 2026 Guide: TNSLPP, InfyTQ and Five Tracks

Infosys joined the TNSLPP (Tamil Nadu State Level Placement Programme) off-campus drive in 2017-18 to recruit engineering graduates who missed campus placements. That programme structure still exists, but Infosys’s primary off-campus routes in 2026 run through InfyTQ, HackWithInfy, and the careers portal. These routes are open to students across the country, not just Tamil Nadu.

TNSLPP in Context: What It Was and Its 2026 Status

TNSLPP is organised by Anna University’s Centre for University-Industry Collaboration (CUIC) for final-year students from Anna University, its affiliated colleges, and other Tamil Nadu universities. The drive gives companies a single coordinated window into the Tamil Nadu talent pool, including students from Tier-2 and Tier-3 colleges that don’t have strong individual placement drives with large IT firms.

The 2017-18 edition brought Infosys to Anna University, Chennai. Students from the Chennai zone in their final year of B.E. or B.Tech with a 2018 pass-out could appear for a pooled aptitude test. The test pattern at the time ran 65 questions across three sections (arithmetic and analytical reasoning, mathematical and logical reasoning, and English communication) with no negative marking and a 95-minute window.

TNSLPP has continued to run for select companies. A 2025 edition ran for Cognizant, with results published by Anna University CUIC. Whether Infosys participates in any given TNSLPP year depends on Infosys’s own hiring calendar, not on a standing commitment to the programme. Treating TNSLPP as your primary path to Infosys in 2026 introduces unnecessary uncertainty. How Infosys Off-Campus Hiring Works in 2026

Infosys posts freshers’ openings on its careers portal under the Jobs section, filtered by Entry Level. Applications open in cycles aligned to the graduating batch window. The process runs in four stages:

• Step 1: Register on infosys.com/careers and apply to the listed off-campus opening
• Step 2: Receive an invite to the Infosys online aptitude test (three sections: quantitative ability, logical reasoning, and verbal English)
• Step 3: Clear the test to receive a technical interview slot
• Step 4: Clear technical and HR interviews to receive an offer

The standard eligibility criteria for all Infosys off-campus drives are:

• Minimum 60% aggregate (or 6.0 CGPA equivalent) in 10th, 12th, and degree
• No active backlogs at the time of application
• B.E., B.Tech, MCA, or M.Sc in any discipline (CSE, ECE, EEE, IT, mechanical, civil and others)
• Graduation year within the batch window specified in the drive notification

Off-campus applicants land on different tracks depending on test performance, InfyTQ certification status, and CGPA. The five tracks in Infosys’s 2026 fresher programme are:

The SE track is the bulk entry track. Most off-campus applicants without InfyTQ certification land here. SP and PP require either an InfyTQ certification or a strong HackWithInfy ranking. InfyTQ Certification: The Free Off-Campus Shortlisting Route

InfyTQ is Infosys’s own certification and learning platform, open to any student and free of cost. It runs courses in programming fundamentals, data structures, object-oriented programming, and emerging technologies, with each track ending in a proctored certification exam. Registration requires only a student email; there is no fee and no campus-tie requirement.

Earning an InfyTQ certification has two direct effects on your Infosys application:

• For the SP track: InfyTQ-certified candidates are preferred for shortlisting in the ₹6.5 LPA Specialist Programmer band
• For the PP track: Top InfyTQ performance combined with a 7.5 CGPA or above and a strong HackWithInfy rank is the standard PP entry profile
• For the DSE track: InfyTQ certification combined with demonstrated digital or coding aptitude supports shortlisting for the Digital Specialist Engineer band

For a Tamil Nadu student who previously relied on TNSLPP participation to get in front of Infosys recruiters, InfyTQ changes the equation. You can earn the certification at any point before you graduate, independent of whether your college coordinates with Infosys or whether TNSLPP is running that year. The platform’s courses, certification tests, and shortlisting pipeline are all open-access, with no placement-cell coordination required. Students from Coimbatore, Madurai, Trichy, and Salem colleges have used this route in recent hiring cycles, bypassing the need for a TNSLPP invitation.

HackWithInfy: Off-Campus Route for Strong Coders

HackWithInfy is Infosys’s annual online coding contest. It runs in three rounds and is open to students in their pre-final or final year. Top performers receive direct PP track offers at ₹9.5 LPA, bypassing the standard aptitude test and interview queue.

The contest structure is roughly:

• Round 1: Individual coding problem set covering arrays, strings, and basic algorithm design; beginner to intermediate difficulty
• Round 2: Advanced problems covering dynamic programming, graphs, and data structure design; intermediate to hard
• Round 3: Final round for top performers, with complex DSA and system-design-adjacent problems; top finishers receive direct PP offers

For a student from a Tier-2 or Tier-3 Tamil Nadu college without a strong on-campus Infosys drive, HackWithInfy is the most direct route to the highest fresher package. Registration opens annually on the Infosys careers page, typically several months before the first round.
