But if your target company uses eLitmus and you only have an AMCAT score, you’re not in the same pool. Cognizant Fresher Hiring in 2026: AMCAT and the GenC Track

Cognizant is among the most active AMCAT users for software engineering roles. The GenC (Generation Cognizant) program is the standard fresher intake track. The Cognizant recruitment pattern incorporates AMCAT’s Automata Fix module as part of the technical screen.

A few things to note about eLitmus hiring. Each company sets its own pH score cutoff, so the minimum you need varies. Score validity is 2 years, which means students can take the test well before their final-year placement season and hold the score. CoCubes drives are typically run through college placement cells, not as open off-campus tests in the way AMCAT and eLitmus work. Two practical points. First, AMCAT and eLitmus both allow off-campus registrations, which means students from any college can participate regardless of whether their college has a tie-up. CoCubes drives are more dependent on your college’s HirePro relationship. Second, eLitmus’s 2-year score validity makes it worth taking in the pre-final year if your targets are on that platform.

If your target list spans IT services companies and core engineering companies, taking both AMCAT and CoCubes is straightforward since they’re moderate in difficulty and the prep overlaps. Adding eLitmus is worth it if your list includes any of the product or networking companies that post exclusively there.

GenC Elevate (₹6.5 to 9.0 LPA) is where the Cognizant shortlist tightens. The coding performance in the AMCAT Automata Fix module is what separates GenC from Elevate candidates. With Cognizant targeting 25,000 fresher hires in 2026, the GenC entry volume is large, but the Elevate/Pro split is where AI skills and project depth are starting to matter. The underlying test format is similar, but the brand name CoCubes is no longer the primary label on the platform.

Can I take AMCAT, eLitmus, and CoCubes at the same time?

Yes. The three assessments are fully independent. No policy prevents a student from registering for and holding active scores on all three simultaneously. Each test has its own registration fee and schedule. Because the recruiter sets differ across the three platforms, taking all three before your placement season is a reasonable strategy if your target list spans IT services, product companies, and core engineering roles.
