Philips Recruitment Process for Freshers




Philips conducts both on and off campus recruitment drives all over India. They have a different pattern for campus recruitment in on and off campus drives. Philips also conducts walk-in face to face interviews for freshers.


Philips on-campus recruitment process:


There are mainly three steps that a candidate comes across in on-campus drive of Philips recruitment process. They are:-


  • Online/Written test
  • Technical interview
  • HR interview


Round 1: Online/Written test


In the online test, questions are asked from four different sections and a limited time period is allocated to complete the test. There is also negative marking in the test for wrong answers. The details of the written test are as follows:

The coding round is not mandatory all the time. During certain recruitment drives, Philips doesn’t include the coding section. But it is always better to be prepared for this section.




Similarly, Philips often conducts a group discussion round for students who have cleared the online test. But this is also optional and hence it may or may not do it. If conducted, then Philips evaluates the candidates on the basis of their communication skills, knowledge, leadership skills, listening skills, conceptualizing ability, etc.

Round 2: Technical interview


The students who clear the online test are called for technical interview. In the technical interview, questions can be asked from any selected topic according to the panel. To clear this round you should be clear with your basics of the computer topics. You can expect questions from Data structures and Algorithms, DBMS, Operating System, Networking, OOPS and a programming language of your choice, so better be thorough with all these topics.


Students from branches other than computer science or Information technology should prepare for other two subjects related to their branch. Computer science and Information technology students can be asked to write codes in the interview. They can also ask questions from your resume. You can be also be asked to solve the puzzles related to some particular cases in the technical interview.


Round 3: HR interview


This will be the final round which will be taken by the HR of the company. This round basically evaluates the stability and confidence level of the candidate. In this round, HR will ask questions related to your life and your career and why you want to work with Philips.
