HirePro Test Pattern: IT and Non-IT Branches

The test structure differs by branch. Non-IT branches (Mechanical, Civil, EEE, ECE without a coding requirement) sit a shorter test. IT branches (CSE, IT, AIDS) get an additional technical section.

The aptitude and technical portions are timed separately. You complete the 60-question aptitude block in 75 minutes, then move to the 20-question technical block with a fresh 25-minute timer.

Sentence ordering is a common time-sink. Identify the topic sentence first. It usually introduces the subject with no pronoun reference pointing backward. Then find the natural conclusion. Work inward from both ends rather than reading every permutation.

The technical section tests conceptual understanding, not syntax memorisation. A solid grasp of why pointer arithmetic works is more useful than memorising syntax. Expect 3 to 5 questions on pointers and memory in C, and at least 2 questions on basic tree or linked-list traversal concepts.

Proctoring Rules: What Gets You Flagged

HirePro uses remote proctoring for the full test duration. Three rules that catch candidates off-guard:

1. Audio and video recording is continuous. Your webcam and microphone stay active for the entire session. Sit in a quiet, well-lit space with no one else in frame.
2. Tab switching logs you out. The system detects any attempt to switch browser tabs or windows. A single switch can end your session.
3. Browser extensions and add-ons are blocked. The platform auto-detects unauthorised tools. Disable all extensions before opening the test link, or use a clean browser profile.
