rnInfosys Referral Drive and Infosys Off Campus Drive are being conducted now to recruit freshers across India. The Infosys Drive of 17th June 2018 was cancelled in Kolkata. But, it took place as scheduled in other parts of India. In this article, we will discuss the Infosys Questions from the 17th June 2018 Drive.
rnVarious test-takers across the country had rated the test to be of medium difficulty level. The Infosys questions asked in the 17th June 2018 drive are discussed below:
rnThe overall quantitative aptitude section was of medium difficulty level for the candidates. The following is interpreted from the data collected from various test-takers.
rnThe Infosys Questions asked in the Quantitative Aptitude section are from the topics Time and Distance, Data Interpretation, Mixture and Allegations, Permutation and Combination, and Probability.
rnThere were two questions asked in the permutation. One of them is the 9 dance groups problem.
rnOne question was asked from probability and one from Time and Distance.
rnThe Time and Distance question asked in the drive is- X wants to catch a bus. If he walks at the rate of 5 km/hr, he misses the bus by 7 minutes. However, if he walks at the speed of 6 km/hr he reaches 5 minutes early. What speed should he approximately walk on so he reaches the station on time?
rnThe paper in which the quants section was easy, had a Mixture and Allegations question. A statement was given with the price and ratio of various products. The candidate has to find the price of the second product. Another question from a different paper is- 3 varieties of a product were given and among them, the price of the 1st and 2nd variety was given. The ratio of 3 varieties and the prices were also given. The candidate should find the price of the 3rd variety.
rnThe Data Interpretation question was easy. Various diseases and the number of deaths caused by them over a range of years were given. The candidates were asked to calculate the increase in percentage of deaths over the years, compare the percentage of increase or decrease in the particular years given, etc.
rnThe overall logical reasoning section was of medium difficulty level for the candidates. The following is interpreted from the data collected from various test-takers.
rnThe logical reasoning topics asked in the various question papers of 17th June 2018 Infosys Drive 2018 are Blood Relations, Syllogisms, Cryptarithmetic, Data Arrangement, Calendar, Number Series, and Data Sufficiency.
rnFive questions were asked from Syllogisms. Some questions were not in the All-Some-No form. A model question from the pattern is given-
(A) Study of philosophy makes a person reflective.
(B) History makes us conscientious.
(C) School level teaching is important.
(D) Mathematics sharpens the mind.
(E) School level studies become the base of life.
(F) Philosophy and mathematics should both be taught to make the student sharp and reflective.
The cryptarithmetic questions given in the exam are as follows:
LETS + SEE = ALL, GOOD + DOG = OREO, HOW + MUCH = POWER then P + O + W + E + R = ?, and GOAT + AAA = ERROR then GOAT-AAO = ?
The Data Arrangement question asked in the exam was difficult. One of the questions asked in the exam was based on fruits. 8 fruits were given. From it, they sit in two rows facing each other, with 4 each row. Data of their position were also given. 3 Questions were asked from them. For eg: assuming if Guava is in the 3rd position in the opposite direction, what is the position of apple?
rnThe Data Sufficiency, Calendar and Number Series question asked in the paper was easy.
rnThe Infosys questions from Data Interpretation were based on Calendar.
rnThe overall verbal ability section was for the candidates. The following is interpreted from the data collected from various test-takers.
rnTwo Reading Comprehension passages were given in some paper. The first passage spoke about Private companies with new innovative ideas. The concept of the passage was along the lines of how the Government denied funding these new ideas because of an election. The second reading comprehension passage spoke about the problems faced by the Publications in English when they translate books to English.
rnError Spotting, Synonyms and Antonyms, and Para Jumbles were among the other topics that were asked.
